Aim:
- To run a successful internship scheme that addresses the training needs for methodologists in order to advance their careers.
Overall objectives:
- To Develop an appealing intern scheme that would attract undergraduate students and result in them going on to do a postgraduate degree in suitable subjects.
- Map out training needs for methodologists at different stages of their career.
- Create a repository of current training opportunities (such as NIHR personal awards) for methodologists.
- Encourage development of new training resources that are needed to support methodologists in progressing in their career.
Objectives for the next 12 months:
- Get funding to successfully run pilot internship scheme.
- Survey different methodologist disciplines about training opportunities and needs.
